Hearst Castle

Another early start today, we wanted to travel up the coast to get to the Hearst Castle early enough to catch a morning tour, we made the 10am tour. The tour included a 8 km bus ride up to the castle, wow it was worth it, the architecture is amazing, the Mable exterior pools, the guest rooms etc, the tour including a short movie was a couple of hours long. Later in the afternoon we traveled up the coast some more, stopping at "Big Sur" a forest park, where they have outdoor furniture in the river so you can cool off....Brenda had her first drive in the USA.....all I can say it was an experience for both of us....

We ended up at Monterey Bay, just South of San Fran, had a short boat cruise to see the sea lions & seals basking on the rocks and had dinner on Fisherman's Wharf, another cool stop over.

I see you found our little spot by the river at the Big Sur. Neat place. Looks like you took the same tour at Hearst Castle that we did - the difference being the day we went there it was really misty. A bit spooky. Looks like you are having fun. Keep the photos coming it makes me feel like I'm on holiday!!!
