Downtown Ventura this morning - heaps of Thrift & Antique shops - found a collectibles shops with so much stuff - everything you could imagine, Daryl was speechless and possibly drooling.
Off to Santa Barbara for lunch - another nice town to visit, then into the hills and within 15 minutes of heading in land from the coast the temperature had risen 22 degrees. Stretched our legs at San Ynez & posted card to Clem, then on to Solvang. A Danish town that looks like gingerbread houses, where we found the local farmers market in full swing with amazing fresh produce. Found Libby a pretty summer dress and had an ice cream. Then on to Avila beach, which is just before San Luis Obispo, where we found a great place to stay on the beach.
Walked out on the pier and watched the Pelican's dive into the sea and the seals playing. Went swimming in the pool tonight at 8.30pm.
